Climate Justice, Criminal Justice and “School for Activists” Meetings

Join us for an informal get together to talk about climate justice! We’ll have a copy of Michelle Wu’s newly released climate justice report that we can chat about. We’ll also have postcards from Boston Climate Action Network that you can use to urge Mayor Walsh to take action on clean energy. Bring a snack to share, if you’d like.

Join the first meeting of people interested in helping to start a school for activists in or near Roslindale, modeled loosely on the Sojourner Truth School in Western Mass.

The Friends of the Library will welcome Adrian Walker and Liz Kowalczyk, reporters from the Boston Globe Spotlight Team, to discuss their most recent investigative series on race in Boston. We will discuss the difficulties of talking about Boston’s racial history, how much the city has progressed, and what can be done at a neighborhood level to make progress in understanding and equity.
