RISE is honored to receive this official resolution of appreciation from the Boston City Council! Special thanks to Councilor Tim McCarthy for offering it and to Lee Blasi for presenting it at our birthday party. Thanks also to Michelle Wu (Rozzie resident!), Matt O’Malley, Ayanna Pressley and the entire Council for their support during our first year.

Here is the text of the resolution:

Be it resolved, that the Boston City Council extends its appreciation to RISE, in recognition of RISE’s one year anniversary working to resist the Trump agenda, uphold Immigrant Rights in our neighborhood and state, improve Criminal Justice, advocate for affordable housing and give voice to the voiceless, and for all your outstanding efforts on behalf of the Roslindale community. And be it resolved that the Boston City Council hereby expresses its congratulations and best wishes for continued success, that this Resolution be duly signed by the President of the City Council and attested to and a copy thereof transmitted by the Clerk of the City of Boston.
