What does the unwinding of climate and environmental policy in the Trump era mean for our communities? Climate change, pollution, and environmental degradation disproportionately hurt communities of color, and the Climate Justice and Environmental Justice movements have long been working to address this injustice. What can we as neighbors do to fight climate change and environmental racism, especially from our coastal home here in Boston?
Our panel consists of local environmental justice leaders, clean energy activists and health and safety experts:
- Mariella Puerto, Barr Foundation, moderator
- Kalila Barnett, Alternatives for Community and Environment (ACE)
- Eugenia Gibbons, Mass Energy
- Adnan Malek, Climate Team Coordinator, Youth on Board
- Kristen Wyman (Nipmuc), Gedakina
This forum is part of RISE’s ongoing efforts to defend and strengthen our community, while building a broader movement for social and economic justice. This event is free. Childcare provided.
